Philippines Exhibition Paris : an event not to be missed
This exhibition, Philippines Exhibition Paris , displays more than three hundred works of artistic expression from this culturally vibrant nation with a fascinatingly diverse history. Some of the examples on view are from private collections, and are rarely seen by the general public. The history of the region is explained via a timeline. A wide variety of artistic disciplines are used to convey the dynamism of Philippine culture, from sculpture to music and from basket weaving to textiles. You will see visions shaped by proximity to mountains and sea, by mythology and religion, and by individual experience. There is also a selection of artefacts unearthed by archaeology, including funerary objects.
