The Musee Maillol Paris, a few minutes’ walk from the Hotel de Suede Paris, is a fascinating place created in 1995 by Dina Vierny. For 10 years, she was the muse of the French sculptor Aristide Maillol and she invested in this private residence in the 7th arrondissement of Paris to exhibit, besides the works of Maillol, an important collection of modern 20th century art.
Musee Maillol Paris: 17 years of work

Dina Vierny engaged the architect Pierre Devinoy, a pupil of Auguste Perret, to renovate the building which she acquired in the late 1970s. Seventeen years later, 51 years after the death of the artist, the Maillol Museum finally opened its doors!
Since then it has hosted a number of particularly exciting temporary exhibitions, including one which will run from 19 September honoring the works of the Venetian Canaletto (1697-1768).
